Sergio Monserrate has over a decade of experience in the film industry with credits as a director, producer, writer, actor and AD. Monserrate’s work has been officially selected at Urbanworld Film Festival, Bogotá Shorts Film Festival, LALIFF, New York Latino Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival and others.
Through his non-profit work, he has mentored underserved youth in the production of over a hundred short films from concept to screen, and has also produced and directed content for organizations such as the Farmworkers Institute of Education & Leadership Development (FIELD), Rainbow Labs and the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF).
A UCLA alumnus, Monserrate majored in Sociology and produced large-scale live events in Los Angeles landmarks such as the TCL Chinese Theater, The American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater, El Capitan, and The Orpheum Theater.
