Los Angeles 2018

Endgame

Story

A Latino immigrant puts everything on the line to attend his daughter’s championship volleyball game.

Why we made it

Our students in Los Angeles wanted to address the systemic racism they face on a daily basis, which too often goes overlooked by those around them. Pulling from personal experiences, they crafted a story about how something as simple as attending a child’s school sports game can become a complicated, dangerous ordeal for Latinos in America. The film sheds light on the racism that exists in our society just under the surface, where it doesn’t always make headlines, but profoundly impacts so many families every day.
