Ethan is a writer and producer from a small town in New Jersey’s cow country. With over two decades of experience in the creative industry, his journey began in theatre at 17, when his debut stage play, True Life, won the William Mastrosimone Award for Best Original Drama. He spent five years in NYC as a playwright and producer before moving to Los Angeles in 2009 to join the film industry and sell out HARD!
And sell out he did! Ethan’s selected film and television work includes features with Adam Sandler and Happy Madison Productions, on-set writer for 20th Century Fox’s The Watch, creative producer on the Ben Stiller-directed The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and creator of the All Def series Kick Stop.
In 2017, Ethan joined Reel Start, initially volunteering on its first Los Angeles and Toronto projects. As someone who entered the industry without connections, he aligned with Reel Start’s mission of opening doors for those without access. He became the Founding Director, helping to expand the organization’s reach, develop educational partnerships, and support over 150 students in producing eight short films.
Ethan lives in Los Angeles with his family, including his daughter. A self-proclaimed comic geek, gamer, and adult LEGO enthusiast.
