What We See

Story

Two teens come to a violent confrontation over a piece of jewelry only to discover they share many of the same challenges and experiences.

Why we made it

We wanted to tackle the growing poverty in Toronto. We were all excited and passionate about shining light on an issue that wasn’t being discussed. Everybody contributed amazing ideas and personal experiences to give an authentic and realistic story. We all wanted to tell a story about two families who came into conflict because of poverty, and how it can lead to a lot of consequences. We hope this film can start a conversation because we did not just want to make a film, we wanted to make a statement.
